February and March is still a busy time for the girls in the office as there is plenty to catch up on after the mad time leading up the Christmas.
The boys are busy keeping the weeds down, fertilising the trees and prunung them into a lovely shape before they start 'flushing'. This is the new growth on the trees which is a beautiful lime green colour and very soft.
We have also been planting new trees. Bucky, the new member of the family has been helping out in the tractor. He is very vigilant, looking behind to check the planters are keeping up. We are thinking of getting him his HGV licence so he can replace Hans on the lorry at Christmas!
Those of you who came to visit us over the Christmas period will have noticed that we only have 3 reindeer with us now. The others have gone to some lovely farms up and down the country bringing fun to lots more visitors. We are very sad about it but it is only fair that others get to learn more about these fabulous animals.
Here are a couple of the reindeer here at Santa Fir farm. They are quite young and still have their winter coats on. Very soon they will start to lose their fur ready for the summer temperatures.

We have a very exciting project on the go at the moment.... Hans Christmas Andersen is sponsoring the 'Spring Into Cranleigh' event on Saturday April 27th in the village. There will be a world record attempt to create the largest display of painted rocks. We have had our logo remodelled to reflect the event. We hope you like it. Get painting, we need around 1100 rocks to have a chance at the record. We are hoping that lots of people will get involved and paint rocks and come along on the day. We are going to put one of our trees up on the day with some alternative decorations. We will take lots of pictures for those of you who live too far away to come and join in.
For the past 2 years across the year we have brought you 'the history of Christmas' and 'facs about reindeer'. This year we thought it might be fun to have some interesting and amusing facts about the traditions of Christmas and the other names for Father Christmas across the world.
In Denmark they call Father Christmas Julemanden.
